  1. Well, why didn’t you say so? Ok, so I left a reply to your visit to the Holden Cemetary then read all the other stuff you do. Also, you live up there in my one of my favorite places on Earth. My grandmother was Laura Mae Holden, the daughter of Ira Holden and Laura Greenwood, and the granddaughter of Wm M Holden, Sr, Martha Nicholson, and George Alfred Greenwood and Elizabeth Ann Martin. Some of them are buried right by the Head of the Tennessee Baptist Church. My grandmother’s siblings were John and Ed Holden, and Pearle Holden McClain and Mattie Holden Grist. My father’s family was from Winterville and Clarke, Oglethorpe, and Greene Counties. They were the Haynes, Winter, Armstrong, and Edwards families. The Haynes family came to Greene County from Va in 1790. My mother’s family all settled around Macon and Thomaston and Barnesville in the early 1800s. Well, you certainly do a lot of things and now you’ve gotten me interested in my roots again. When I have a few more minutes I want to check out some of the stuff you have that will be of interest to me. Ted Haynes, Lilburn, GA
