Jim,

Thanks for the offer. I would love to have copies of any pictures you're willing to share.

I have read the Hopper sketch in Dr. Ritchie's book. Unfortunately, his work is riddled with errors. Of course, Dr. Ritchie took much of his information from members of the local community, and I'm sure that the errors were either embellishments (we do love a good tale here!) or best-of-knowledge statements where other information was simply not known to the parties involved.

Please see my other comment on your family, and feel free to e-mail me.

I have pictures that were emailed to me of Samuel Hoppers Cabin at Betty's Creek. I would be more than happy to provide them to you. Also Have you ever read Sketches of Rabun County history by Andrew Jackson Richie? It has a few stories and some history of this branch of the family. i could also grant you access to my Family tree (although I'm sure you'd have much of the info, but maybe not...)
Pat Rodgers, this offer is extended to you as well if you're interested.

Thanks for the correction.

I know Bruce and Danny. Very nice people, although their health has not been so good here lately. Bruce's father and my great-grandmother were siblings, the children of Selvin Hopper who was Thomas Hopper's youngest child.

Dawn, I need to correct my post. I should have said Zachariah Hopper moved to Ark. in the late 1860's not 1850's also Bruce Hopper and his wife Danny sent the pictures of the Hopper home place. I believe Bruce told me he is a descendant of Thomas Hopper also.
Thanks Pat
