P. S. My grandfather was Sgt. Thad J. Watson Sr. If you do a site search for his name or the Little Lulu, you can see some of the documents we have. When your mother finds her records for your uncle, I would love to see those, if she’s willing to share copies.

It is my understanding that the crew members of the Little Lulu who died when the plane was shot down were buried first in Czechoslovakia (by the villagers who watched the air battle). The bodies were later reinterred in a common grave in the Zachary Taylor National Cemetery in Kentucky. That being said, I could not find him in the Nationwide Gravesite Locator through the web site for that cemetery: http://www.cem.va.gov/cems/nchp/zacharytaylor.asp

Somewhere I have a picture of the tombstone. I’ll try to dig that up to see what’s written on it.

Felix Bruce Gleason was my Uncle. I was amazed to see this article pop up during a google search to see if I could identify which cemetery in France he is buried in. My mother has the records and letters of his death but we couldn’t put our fingers on them the other day as she has recently moved and is still unpacking. The picture on this post is the same one that my mother has on her wall.
