Megan,

Thanks for stopping by. I'm happy you found some useful information. If you will e-mail me directly, I shall forward digital images of the above document with a source citation. That way, you can have a "real" copy as proof of this portion of your lineage.

Bear in mind that Louisa and Viney were two different sisters; my understanding is that Louisa did, indeed, die without issue. (Of course, I'm not looking at my database right now, so I could be wrong!)

Happy hunting, cousin!

Oh my goodness, you are so awesome!!! Thank you thank you THANK YOU! I have been stuck on my great (x4) grandmother (Louvina Peak or Peek)in my genealogy research for months now. I was given a lead on her parents a few weeks ago when I joined a Pruitt DNA group on ancestry.com, but everything I found on David and Mary's children did not include Louvina's name. Well actually, like you mentioned earlier a Louisa was named but said she was never married. So I just figured I must be following the wrong Peak family. Today I decided to do yet another Google search on Louvina's husband's name, James Smith Pruitt, which is my great (x4) grandfather, and lo and behold your article came up. You have made me one happy researcher. Thank you again, so much!
